The PrivacyMark (P-Mark) system is a certification program under which businesses that have established a management framework for appropriately implementing and managing personal information protection measures in conformity with the Japanese Industrial Standard “JIS Q 15001 Personal Information Protection Management Systems – Requirements” are accredited and granted the right to use the PrivacyMark in their business activities.
To obtain PrivacyMark certification requires the implementation of a robust personal information security management system,including risk management throughout the lifecycle of the personal information you handle and compliance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information.
