Votiro Disarmer is Japan’s most widely deployed file sanitization product.

Deployment Patterns

Deployment Pattern 1: For “Sanitized Communication” in Local Governments

The “Report on Fundamental Strengthening of New Local Government Information Security Measures”, published by the Ministry f Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) Local Government Information Security Task Force in November 2015, recommended segmenting communication paths. This segmentation is intended to secure the Wide Area Network (WAN) environment used for information sharing related to the My Number system. Specifically, it separates mission-critical systems utilizing the LGWAN, such as financial and accounting systems, from system used for web browsing and internal email. The report further proposed the implementation of “Sanitized Communication” to prevent virus infection when communication is necessary between these two segmented systems.
